R.I.P. Golden Nugget

War Eagle Yall!!!!! I unfortunately will not be at the game this weekend since I will be visiting Katie Hodges at her new home in Fernandina Beach. I am a little jealous that so many of you will be together this weekend, however I have to trust that we will have PLENTY more opportunity to tailgate together in the future! I mean seriously, we are going to be gettin' down wellllllll into our 90's and maybe even 100's. As long as Jack Daniels still tastes the same in 2080 and as long as football is still the greatest sport ever invented (which of course nothing could ever beat football) then I will be right there, in Jordan Hare with my buddies watching the eagle fly-- Tiger XXXIII by then?

I have some bad news: the Golden Nugget fainted today 500 feet from the Southern Company parking lot under the Birmingham sun. After regaining consciousness, I drove her to the nearest ER (Franklin Automotive Services) where she proceeded to fade in and out of power. She was then life flighted over to Hoover Toyota where she will remain in ICU over the long weekend. Looking on the bright side, I didn't have to go to work today since my boss felt sorry for me when he passed me waiting on the side of the road. And despite my close bond with the Little Nuggy, I am more than willing to settle for a new Subaru Outback Hybrid All Wheel Drive Black with tinted windows and tan leather interior..... Before jumping to any kind of R.I.P. Golden Nugget conclusions though, I must not "get my hopes up" and begin the Subaru search, I will just have to wait and see what Tuesday will bring.

Lauren, I am so happy for you and Kevin and that you love playing house all the time. And your town home I'm sure is LOVELY! Good luck with getting the magazine completed and all of the San Diego plans organized! You will pull everything off with flying colors, I am sure of it.

To all you beautiful ladies, remember to put positive energy out into the world and in return you will be rewarded with positive experiences. I am so blessed to be friends with such a diverse group of personalities who, while we are different from one another, we all share one thing in common: we cherish the little things in life and never take this life for granted. Experience life to its fullest capacity and make the most of every single moment. I love you guys!

If you've never heard this song, download it! It's delicious! Mmmmm

Mmmmmmatisyahu: "One Day"

sometimes I lay
under the moon
and thank God I'm breathing
then I pray
don't take me soon
cause I'm here for a reason
sometimes in my tears I drown
but I never let it get me down
so when negativity surrounds
I know someday it'll all turn around
